Diary of a Cat Walker #6

Today's walk was short but good. It was cold and damp from the week's rains, so we didn't stay long. It was late, around 5 p.m., so the sun, which hadn't shown it's face much all day, was gone. It was pretty miserable, and at first, Gloria turned around to go back to the car. I picked her up and walked her across the sidewalk, and then sat her down. She immediately headed for a picnic table for her treat. Resigned to leaving in a couple minutes, I gave her her treat and she lapped it up. After she finished, she looked around. I could tell she was torn; she wanted to explore, but it was cold and damp and well, she hates the cold. So I got up and led her toward the exit. She followed, careful not to step in the puddles, as we headed toward the exit. We were about 20 yards from the car when Gloria decided she wanted to sit a while and just enjoy the park for a few more minutes. "The Zen of Cat Walking" in effect.
